What is the issue?
- Text characters are blurry on the LCD screen
- Poor clarity with hard to read letters on laptop
How do I fix it?
Make sure the laptop is set to the LCD screen's native resolution or optimal resolution. If the display is set for a lower resolution, switch to the native resolution to improve screen clarity.
To set the screen resolution, go to: Start > Settings > Control Panel > Display > Settings.
Also see if the Microsoft ClearType* feature is enabled. The feature improves text clarity, but in some cases it makes text look blurry or makes black text look partially colored.
To disable or reconfigure the ClearType feature:
- Go to: Start > Settings > Control Panel > Display > Appearance > Effects...
- Uncheck the box for Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts.
