What is the issue?

  • Error: "The IGFXTRAY.EXE file is linked to missing export HCCUTILS.DLL:IsDisplayValid"
  • Error: "The HKCMD.EXE file is link to missing export HCCUTILS.DLL:IsDisplayValid"

What is the cause?

The errors may appear when you start Windows* after reverting to a previous version of the Intel® Graphics Drivers. For example, when you go from a 6.x graphics driver to a 5.x graphics driver.

How do I fix it?
  1. Select and copy the text between the rows of asterisks below:
    ****************************************
    [Version]
