Hard Disk Drive Passwords for Intel® NUC Products

Intel® NUC products support hard disk drive passwords. Valid password characters include: A-Z, a-z, and 0-9. Passwords can be up to 19 characters in length.
 

Task Steps
Set a hard disk drive password
  1. Press F2 during boot to enter BIOS Setup.
  2. Go to Advanced > Security.
  3. Select Set Master Hard Disk Drive Password or Set User Hard Disk Password.
  4. Enter the password twice and press Confirm.
  5. Press F10 to save and exit BIOS Setup.
Change a hard disk drive password
  1. Press F2 during boot to enter BIOS Setup.
  2. Go to Advanced > Security.
  3. Select Set Master Hard Disk Drive Password or Set User Hard Disk Password.
  4. Enter the current password and press Submit.
  5. Enter a new password twice and press Submit.
  6. Press F10 to save and exit BIOS Setup.
Remove a hard disk drive password
  1. Press F2 during boot to enter BIOS Setup.
  2. Go to Advanced > Security.
  3. Select Set Master Hard Disk Drive Password or Set User Hard Disk Password.
  4. Enter the current password and press Submit.
  5. On the Enter New Password dialog box, leave both new password fields blank.
  6. Press Submit.
  7. Press Yes to confirm you want to clear the password.
  8. Press F10 to save and exit BIOS Setup.
