Summary

Troubleshooting steps to keep Intel® EMA swarm server from continually suspending

Description

Unable to prevent the Intel® EMA Swam server from suspending because system administrators are changing the Microsoft service account that EMA is running under for security reasons.

Resolution

EMA runs as Local System, which doesn’t have the proper permissions to the Intel® EMA SQL Database (DB).

The steps below grant the Local System proper permissions to the Intel® EMA SQL DB.

  1. Open Microsoft SQL* Management Studio and add the correct object the hostname to the path below.
  2. Go to the Security folder
  3. Right-click over Login
  4. Select New Login
