Steps to solve USB-C/Thunderbolt display and Boot issues on Intel® NUC Kit with 11th Generation.
After updating the BIOS to version 0043, the Intel® NUC experiences display issues on USB-C or Thunderbolt monitors. The types of issues range from no video output, system freezes, or no boot when using a USB-C or Thunderbolt monitor.
If Using HDMI® cables, there are no display issues and the Intel® NUC works fine.
This is impacting different 11th Gen Intel® NUC11PA SKUs and different monitor models. The same monitors work when connected to other systems.
Intel® is currently working on a solution for this issue. If possible, use an HDMI cable instead of Thunderbolt in the meantime.
