Why Doesn't the Keyboard Backlight Work on the Intel® NUC 9 Extreme Laptop Kit

Description

The keyboard backlight doesn't light up on boot, only when the operating system loads. 

Resolution
  1. Update to BIOS 00xx or later. (Instructions)
  2. Reboot. When the Intel splash screen appears, press the F2 key to enter the BIOS.
  3. Press the F9 key to load BIOS defaults. 
    NoteMake sure to note any custom settings, as loading the BIOS defaults (pressing F9) will delete them.
  4. Press the F10 key to save and reboot.
  5. Uninstall the old version of  Control Center.
  6. Install Control Center version 2.2.0.22 (or later), then reboot.

If the keyboard backlight is set to ON in Control Center, the keyboard will light up with a white backlight until Control Center loads. Once Control Center loads, the keyboard backlight will behave how it was setup in the application.
