What do I do when I get an error message in Microsoft Edge Legacy when using Intel® Driver & Support Assistant (Intel® DSA)?

Resolution

If you receive an error message trying to view Intel® Driver & Support Assistant in Microsoft Edge Legacy, try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Ensure you are using Edge Legacy (version 44.17763/18.17763 or newer). Look here to find out how to check your version of Edge Legacy.
  2. Type about:flags in the browser url bar, and hit enter.
  3. Make sure that Allow localhost loopback is checked.
  4. Even if it is checked, sometimes toggling the checkbox will cause Intel® Driver & Support Assistant to work again. To toggle:
    1. Uncheck Allow localhost loopback.
    2. Close Edge Legacy.
    3. Re-open Edge Legacy.
    4. Check Allow localhost loopback.
    5. Close and re-open Edge Legacy.
    6. Launch Intel® Driver & Support Assistant.
