Steps to retrieve the Windows* product key from an Intel® NUC
Description
- Cannot find the product key used to activate Windows*.
- Cannot reactivate Windows 10 Pro.
Resolution

- Click the Windows Start button, or press the Windows key on your keyboard.
- Type powershell, and click Windows PowerShell Desktop app.
- Type (Get-WmiObject -query 'select * from SoftwareLicensingService').OA3xOriginalProductKey
- Press Enter.
The Windows product key is displayed.
Additional information
These steps will only work for Intel NUC Mini PCs that come with Windows* already installed. Intel NUCs Mini PCs have the Windows product key embedded, but not displayed, in the BIOS. This allows the key to be automatically referenced for activation, if you need to reinstall the operating system.
