Unable to Install Windows® 10 on Intel® NUC 10 Performance Kit NUC10ixFNH

Description

During installation of Windows 10 (version 1706), an error shows: "Windows could not update the computer's boot configuration, installation cannot proceed."

Resolution

Previous versions of Windows 10 (version 1803 and before) are not compatible with NUC10i5FNH. To resolve the issue, follow the steps below:

Download latest version of Windows installer from Microsoft's "Create installation media for Windows"
Install Windows image on either a USB portable device or on a CD/DVD.
Plug in the device with the Windows installation image (USB port or USB optical drive, if the Windows image is on a CD/DVD).
Power on the Intel NUC.
At the prompt during boot, press F10 to open the boot menu
Select the installation drive.
Windows Setup starts. Follow all setup instructions.
