Summary

This article explains how to set up option "Native ACPI OS PCIe Support" to stay enabled in BIOS

Description

BIOS option "Native ACPI OS PCIe Support" won't stay enabled in BIOS.

Resolution

Thunderbolt Controller and Native ACPI OS PCIe can't be enabled at the same time. To enable Native ACPI OS PCIe, the Thunderbolt Controller in BIOS settings has to be disabled first.

To make our BIOS (starting with BIOS version 0063) more user-friendly we added the following improvements:

  1. Native ACPI OS PCIe Support is grayed out when Thunderbolt Support is enabled.
  2. Added a note in BIOS, explaining that Native ACPI OS PCIe Support can not be enabled when Thunderbolt Support is enabled.
