Resolution

Keep in mind that Intel® Driver & Support Assistant is only supported on Microsoft Windows 7*, Windows 8*, Windows 8.1*, Windows® 10, and Windows 11* using Chrome, Firefox, or Edge* (version 44.17763/18.17763 or newer) browsers, if you need to update BIOS under a different Operating System, then go to BIOS Update and Recovery Instructions for Intel® NUC.

There could be multiple factors why Intel® Driver & Support Assistant does not update to the latest BIOS version:

  1. BIOS version is not tagged to the user's Windows® Operating Systems version. Visit How to Download BIOS, Drivers, and Firmware for Intel® NUC Products page and go through the "Manual updates" section. Once you have identified the latest BIOS version shown for your product, look for the Windows® Operating Systems versions tagged to the BIOS version you are installing. Select the appropriate *.EXE files.
  2. Check that you are updating to the latest BIOS version, which should be tagged as "Latest" in How to Download BIOS, Drivers, and Firmware for Intel® NUC.
  3. There could be a network connection issue at the user's side while Intel® Driver & Support Assistant is updating the BIOS. In this case, when the network connection resumes, re-start NUC and try to update BIOS using Intel® Driver & Support Assistant again. Keep in mind that network issues could corrupt BIOS update process to the point of making NUC unavailable, before proceeding to any BIOS update ensure that your network is stable during the whole BIOS update process.
  4. Finally, if issues still persist with Intel® Driver & Support Assistant, try to update the BIOS manually using another method described in How to Download BIOS, Drivers, and Firmware for Intel® NUC Products.
