  1. Refer to product specifications to verify if processor features include Intel® Virtualization Technology.
  2. Refer to How to Enable Intel® Virtualization Technology (Intel® VT) for Directed I/O (Intel® VT-d) for Intel® Server Board or Intel® Server System.
  • Ensure corresponding Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) settings are set up properly.
  • If the third-party board BIOS does not show all of the settings, check with the manufacturer for assistance.

Additional Analysis that could be taken into account:

  1. Ensure the board has the latest BIOS/firmware.
  • Contact the board/system manufacturer.
  • If it is an Intel board, click here to find out what the most current available version is.
  1. If possible, test the processor on another compatible board/system and run the Intel® Processor Identification Utility again to see if Intel VT is reported as non existent.
