When updating BIOS to version R0069, a message that requires at least version R066 and latest available on Intel Download Center is version R064.
When trying to update the BIOS to the version 069, there's a message that it requires at least the version R066. The latest version available on the Intel Download Center is version R064.
Explain that the firmware package with the BIOS version R0069 (latest) also contains the BIOS version R0066.
Updating from BIOS revisions R0018 or later
UEFI iFlash32 2.6 Build 10
- Boot the system to EFI Shell.
- Copy IFlash32.efi and BIOS .CAP file to a HD or USB Flash Drive.
(Do not use the Rec.CAP file as it will clear NVRAM and should only be used for Recovery. See Recovery Instructions in the ReadMe file link below.) - Map the respective storage device in system with the command:
Shell> map -r - Change the Shell to mapped device file system:
Example: Shell> fs0: (or fs1:) - Run the IFlash32 utility on the prompt:
fs0:\> IFlash32 [File Name] /u /ni - Reboot system after the update is completed.

Important Do not interrupt the BIOS POST during the first boot. - Boot to UEFI Shell again, and then change the Shell to mapped device file system
- iflash32 /u /ni /nv R0066.cap
- Reboot system after the update is completed.
