We established this group to protect the mission while recognizing there is an interest and place for limited commercial activity. Commercial solicitation is prohibited unless related to Intel® Engage, or the effective use of technology in the classroom. If you come across any material that you feel falls into this category, flag it as inappropriate. However, we do allow limited commercial solicitation from individuals or companies who created products or services related to our discussions. We encourage such participants to be active in the community because they have an interest in helping education. These participants are often former educators with a lot to contribute. They can both add to regular discussions and answer questions about their products or services better than anyone else.
If you are representing a commercial product or service that falls in this category, use your real name. Join as an individual, not as a company. We also ask you post your descriptions or service pricing at Teachers Engage Virtual Exhibit Hall. You may briefly reference your postings in the Virtual Exhibit Hall group elsewhere, only if it is helpful to a discussion outside of this group. The content of your post should clearly add value to the discussion beyond just the reference. Refrain from unsolicited personal messages. This rule applies to messages in the site, and messages sent through contact information obtained from the site. Members who believe they are receiving such messages should write to Teachers Engage.
