Reference chassis list
Third-party chassis is tested for airflow against manufacturer temperature specifications for Intel Server Board S1400SP Family. This table is updated as new chassis are tested.
Vendor | Model | Chassis Type1 | Power Supply2 | Unpackaged Shock Test | Thermal Test Level3 | Drive Support4 |
AIC | RAC-1E | Rack (1U) | Single | N/A | 1 | C |
1 Chassis Legend:
- 1U = Rack (U is multiple of 1.75 inches.)
- 2U = Rack (U is multiple of 1.75 inches.)
2 Power Supply: R/D = Redundant, H/S = Hot Swap Redundant
3 Thermal Test Level: Intel does system level thermal testing of Intel® Server Boards for all third-party reference chassis listed. The server board is configured to use a generic fan control scheme that works all attached system fans at 100 percent pulse width modulation (PWM). The generic fan control scheme is set by selecting the other chassis option using the FRUSDR Configuration Utility. Intel can't guarantee that specific system configurations remain inside maximum thermal limits if you change or reduce the fan control PWM rate from the tested configuration.
4 Driver Support: A = Docking SAS, B = Docking SATA, C = Cabled SAS/SATA
Content in this table documents that the highest level of Intel thermal testing successfully completed.
Board Revision | Processor | Maximum Speed | CPU TDP | Manufacturing Process Technology | Number of Drives | Ambient Temperature | |
1 | All | Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2400 Sequence | 2.4 GHz | 95W | 32nm | 1 | 35 Celsius |
2 | All | Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2400 Sequence | 2.4 GHz | 95W | 32nm | 1 | 30 Celsius |
