Thermal Test Level
Intel performs system level thermal testing of a given Intel® Server Board in all listed 3rd party reference chassis. The Intel® Server Board is configured to use a generic fan control scheme, which operates all attached system fans at 100% pulse width modulation (PWM). The generic fan control scheme is set by selecting the OTHER CHASSIS option using the FRUSDR Configuration Utility.
Intel cannot guarantee that specific system configurations will remain within maximum thermal limits if users choose to modify and reduce the fan control PWM rate from the tested configuration. Users that choose to modify the fan control PWM rate are wholly responsible for all required thermal validation to ensure their system configurations stay within specified maximum thermal limits.
