Intel® NUC products support hard disk drive passwords. Valid password characters include: A-Z, a-z, and 0-9. Passwords can be up to 19 characters in length.
| Task | Steps |
| Set a hard disk drive password | - Press F2 during boot to enter BIOS Setup.
- Go to Advanced > Security.
- Select Set Master Hard Disk Drive Password or Set User Hard Disk Password.
- Enter the password twice and press Confirm.
- Press F10 to save and exit BIOS Setup.

| Change a hard disk drive password | - Press F2 during boot to enter BIOS Setup.
- Go to Advanced > Security.
- Select Set Master Hard Disk Drive Password or Set User Hard Disk Password.
- Enter the current password and press Submit.
- Enter a new password twice and press Submit.
- Press F10 to save and exit BIOS Setup.

| Remove a hard disk drive password | - Press F2 during boot to enter BIOS Setup.
- Go to Advanced > Security.
- Select Set Master Hard Disk Drive Password or Set User Hard Disk Password.
- Enter the current password and press Submit.
- On the Enter New Password dialog box, leave both new password fields blank.
- Press Submit.
- Press Yes to confirm you want to clear the password.
- Press F10 to save and exit BIOS Setup.
