The following issues have been reported using the Intel® NUC Kit DE3815TYKHE or Intel® NUC Board DE3815TYBE with Windows 8* or Windows 8.1*. These issues aren't found with Windows 7* or Windows Embedded* operating systems.

|DE3815TYKHE and DE3815TYBE don't meet the requirements for Windows 8 or 8.1 certification.||The board and kit haven't been submitted for Microsoft Windows Hardware Certification, and aren't on the Microsoft Windows Certified Products List.||Windows 7 is recommended to participate in the Microsoft Windows hardware certification program.|
|High CPU utilization at idle.||High processor utilization at idle has been reported with Windows 8 and 8.1.||BIOS version 0034 and later improves performance with Windows 8. There isn't a workaround for Windows 8.1.|
