What am I seeing?

In the Other Devices section In Windows 7*, the Device Manager can show multiple errors on Unknown Devices.

Details on the device show ACPI\MSFT0101.

This error occurs when you enable the Intel® Platform Trust Technology option on the Security tab in BIOS.

Windows 7 doesn't support this setting, so you can disable it in BIOS. Windows 8.1* and Windows® 10 do support this setting.

NUC5i3MYHE, NUC5i3MYBE

To fix the Unknown Device error, download and install the Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2* Service Pack 1.

This update clears the error in Device Manager. If you need to use the included TPM, the operating system needs to be updated to Windows 8* or later.

If the error still occurs after installing Service Pack 1, install the Hotfix from KB2920188.
