See the table below for six methods available to update your Intel® Compute Stick BIOS to the latest version. You only need to use one.

Online Instructions Download When to use
Express BIOS update  Download the PDF  Allows you to initiate a BIOS update from within Windows*.
F7 BIOS update Download the PDF  Allows you to initiate a BIOS update by pressing the F7 key during the boot process (before the operating system loads). You can use this method if Linux* is installed on the Intel® Compute Stick.
Power button menu BIOS update Download the PDF  Allows you to initiate a BIOS update from the Power Button Menu (by pressing the Power Button for three seconds). You can use this method if Linux* is installed on the Intel Compute Stick.
UEFI BIOS update Download the PDF Allows you to update the BIOS from the EFI Shell. You can use this method if Linux* is installed on the Intel Compute Stick.
iFlash BIOS update Download the PDF Allows you to update the BIOS from a bootable USB device. You can use this method if Linux* is installed on the Intel Compute Stick.
BIOS Recovery Download the PDF  In the unlikely event that a BIOS update is interrupted, it's possible the BIOS may be left in an unusable state. Try the BIOS Recovery method to fix the issue.
Note PDF files require Adobe Acrobat Reader*.

Note
  • Downgrading the BIOS to an earlier version isn't recommended and might not be supported. An earlier BIOS version might not provide important fixes, critical security updates, or support the latest board revisions currently manufactured.
  • All images in the examples used in the instructions are for illustration purposes only. Make sure to select the correct BIOS files for your Intel® Compute Stick.
  • If a BIOS update process is interrupted, your computer might not function properly. Intel suggests the process be done in an environment with a steady power supply (preferably with UPS).
