Our Newest Manufacturing Investment in Germany

We are excited to announce that our next mega site will be in Germany which has a proud tradition of manufacturing innovation and is an ideal place to establish a new hub for advanced chipmaking.  In the city of Magdeburg, the capital city of the state of Saxony-Anhalt, Intel plans to initially invest 17 billion euros to establish two first-of-its-kind semiconductor fabs, creating 7,000 construction jobs over the course of the build, 3,000 permanent high-tech jobs at Intel, and tens of thousands of additional jobs across suppliers and partners.

Intel is planning to invest more than $20 billion in the construction of two new leading-edge chip factories in Ohio to boost production to meet demand for advanced semiconductors, power a new generation of innovative products from Intel, and serve the needs of foundry customers.

Spanning nearly 1,000 acres in Licking County, just outside of Columbus, the “mega-site” can accommodate a total of eight chip factories as well as supporting operations and ecosystem partners.

Our Newest U.S. Manufacturing Investment in Poland

We are excited to share Intel’s first European-based Test & Assembly High Volume Manufacturing site near Wrocław, Poland. This facility will help meet critical demand for assembly and test capacity that Intel anticipates by 2027. Intel expects to invest up to $4.6 billion in the facility, which will have the capacity to expand. When completed, the facility will support approximately 2,000 Intel employees. The construction of the facility is also expected to create several thousand more jobs, in addition to eventual hiring by suppliers.
