Intel is Moving to the SAP Business Network (formerly Ariba Network)

Intel is transitioning to the SAP Business Network to provide a more efficient, easy-to-use collaboration platform for its inbound supply chain. Transacting electronically on the SAP Business Network will soon be a standard part of doing business with Intel.
This new platform will allow many of our suppliers to move away from paper-based and manually transmitted purchase orders and invoices currently associated with our Intel system, WebSuite.
Intel will be migrating suppliers to the SAP Business Network over the next year. Intel will begin the onboarding process for each supplier, by sending a Project Notification Letter (see a sample PNL) with instructions about how to register on the SAP Business Network and connect to Intel. Until you receive that Project Notification Letter, continue to use WebSuite on https://supplier.intel.com.
Benefits of the SAP Business Network (formerly Ariba Network)

The SAP Business Network consolidates transactions from multiple customers so that you can support your business through one system. Many of your existing customers may already be using the SAP Business Network.
The SAP Business Network platform allows you to move away from paper-based invoicing or manually transmitted transactions. The SAP Business Network supports electronic invoicing in a much larger number of countries than is presently supported in Intel's WebInvoice application.
How Onboarding Works
Intel started working with suppliers to transition to the SAP Business Network (formerly Ariba Network) beginning in 2017.
For those suppliers which Intel prioritizes for an Enterprise Account, Intel will send you a Project Notification Letter (PNL) with instructions for onboarding onto the SAP Business Network and a list of resources to help you learn about the SAP Business Network and get answers to your questions.
Shortly thereafter, you will receive a Trading Relationship Request (TRR) from SAP Business Network. Click the “Accept your customer’s Trading Relationship Request” to begin the onboarding process.
Fees: Intel is paying the fees normally associated with Enterprise Accounts when you transact with Intel. You will be responsible for fees incurred when doing business with other customers.

Capabilities of Enterprise Accounts
Some of the key features of an Enterprise Account include the following:
- Receive and manage orders and invoices from multiple customers in one online dashboard, including past orders and invoices
- Create and export reports; archiving capabilities
- Access to SAP Business Network via phone, chat, or email; access to online training courses
- Publish catalogs which, detail your products and services to improve order accuracy
- Fees - Paid by Intel for all transactions with Intel; fees may be incurred by you when transacting with other customers

To simplify the onboarding process, Intel will invite most suppliers to register on the SAP Business Network with a standard account.
The first time Intel creates a purchase order for your company in SAP Business Network, you will receive instructions to register on the SAP Business Network. Once you've registered, you can view the purchase order and submit electronic invoices online.

Some of the key features of standard accounts include the following:
- Access your standard account using emails and notifications; retain email communication to respond to purchase orders and notifications, and for archiving
- Transact documents such as orders and order confirmations; convert purchase orders into electronic invoices; create non-PO invoices and credit memos
- Access to SAP Business Network support via online help center
- Create user accounts with permissions for different roles in your company
- Free - no fees

Operating in Multiple Systems During Transition
Rule #1: Transact on POs where you view them.
Handling Purchase Orders (POs) During the Transition
Purchase Orders
- During the transition period, POs are likely to be generated in multiple systems
- Intel's WebPO will list all POs to ensure no orders are missed
- WebPO will indicate which POs must be viewed in the SAP Business Network, and will provide a link to navigate to the SAP Business Network to view and transact those orders
- POs created before you onboard onto the SAP Business Network will remain in WebPO and should continue to be transacted on WebPO
- It is important to monitor both the SAP Business Network and WebPO during the transition
- You should transact POs in the system where you can view the PO details. Click this guide on how to view your POs.
- You will get different email notifications based on the system where the PO was generated
Transacting on Purchase Orders (POs) During the Transition
Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs)
- Intel has not yet enabled ASN submission in the SAP Business Network (a notice will be sent to onboarded suppliers when ASN submission is enabled)
- If you normally submit ASNs should continue to do so on WebASN
Invoices
- Orders should be invoiced in the system where you can view the PO details
Tracking Invoice and Payment Status
- Invoice and payment status can be tracked in the system where the invoice was submitted
