The Nios® II Processor: Booting (ONIIBOOTING)
Course Description
This course will teach you about the different booting sequences and methods for the Nios II processor. You will learn about booting from serial and parallel flash, using a boot copier, or executing in place (XIP). Using the Intel® Quartus® Prime programmer command line tool to program flash will be explained. Booting and executing from the User Flash Memory (UFM) in an Intel Max® 10 device will also be discussed.At Course Completion
You will be able to:
- Describe the different boot sequences for the Nios II Processor
- Use the quartus_pgm command line tool to program flash for the Nios II Processor
- Explain the functions of a boot copier and start-up code and know where to start to modify it
