Course Description

In this training, you will learn about the need for accurate signal integrity simulation & analysis when designing high-speed PCBs using Intel® FPGA transceivers. We’ll talk about the challenges of traditional I/O analysis when simulating serializer and deserializer channels and discuss why IBIS-AMI models are the ideal solution when simulating the high-speed serial interfaces of Intel FPGAs.

At Course Completion

You will be able to:

  • Understand the need to simulate transceiver channels using IBIS-AMI models
  • Know the benefits of using IBIS-AMI models compared to traditional HSPICE simulations
  • Download and use IBIS-AMI models for Altera transceiver devices in third-party tools
