Course Description

In this introductory training, you will become familiar with the basics of the easy-to-use Intel® Quartus® Prime Standard Edition software design environment. You will learn about the steps involved in the basic FPGA design flow and how to use the software in the flow, going from design entry to device programming all within one tool. Project creation and management, design and I/O assignments, and simulation are also covered.

At Course Completion

You will be able to:

  • Learn the basics of using the Intel® Quartus® Prime Standard Edition software
  • Create and manage Intel Quartus Prime software projects
  • Use the IP Catalog and IP Parameter Editor to easily create, configure, and instantiate IP cores
  • Control design processing and hardware options using settings and assignments
  • Create I/O assignments using the Pin Planner
  • Perform a design simulation in a 3rd-party simulation tool
  • Program an Intel FPGA or CPLD with the Intel Quartus Prime Programmer
