Why do I see the error message in the MegaWizard when I try to generate UniPHY based DDR3 SDRAM controller for Stratix V device?

    Description

    You may see following error message in the MegaWizard® IP generation window in Quartus® II software version 11.1 on Linux when you try to generate UniPHY based DDR3 SDRAM Controller IP for Stratix® V device. 

    Error: couldn't open "altera_mem_if_ddr3_phy_001_sequencer_rom.hex": no such file or directory

    Resolution

    The workaround is to always install Cyclone IV GX, even if it\'s not being used.

    This issue is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Quartus II software.
