Is the internal oscillator of the MAX® II User Flash Memory (UFM) block always enabled when using the Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) or Parallel Interface options for the altufm megafunction from the Quartus® II software?

Description The following conditions apply to the internal oscillator when the altufm megafunction for SPI or Parallel Interface is instantiated:

  • For the SPI read only megafunction, the internal oscillator is always disabled.
  • For the SPI read/write megafunction, the internal oscillator is always enabled.
  • For the Parallel read only megafunction, the internal oscillator is always enabled.
  • For the Parallel read/write megafunction, the internal oscillator is always enabled.
