You may see the above error in the license daemon logfile file if your ModelSim-Altera license daemon is out-of-date.
To solve this problem, download the latest ModelSim-Altera license daemon from the License Daemon Downloads webpage and configure your license file to use it. For more information on configuring your license file to use a license daemon, refer to the Altera Software Installation and Licensing Manual (PDF).
