IP: Frame Buffer II (4K Ready), video-and-image-processing

Why do I see dropped frames with my Frame Buffer II IP core when using the Frame Writer Only Mode?

You might see this behavior if you do not acknowledge available frames.  Available frames are indicated by the Available bit 31 of the Frame Information register.

Write to bit 0 of the Misc register to acknowledge the frame, as described in the “Frame Writer Only Mode” section of the user guide.

You must acknowledge every frame.

This clarification will be added to a future release of the Video and Image Processing Suite User Guide.
