Environment

  • Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition
  • DisplayPort
  • BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
    Description

No, the DisplayPort Intel® FPGA IP does not support DisplayPort Dual-Mode (DP).

    Resolution

Dual-Mode DisplayPort allows High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) or Digital Visual Interface (DVI) to be sent through the DisplayPort electrical connector with the pin functions being re-mapped.

A DP capable display is fully compatible with the DisplayPort Intel® FPGA IP.

The HDMI Intel® FPGA IP which supports DVI should be used in place of the DisplayPort Intel® FPGA IP if either of these standard need to be sent through the DisplayPort connector.
