The Mercury SA1 is an Intel® FPGA Cyclone® V SoC-based system-on-chip (SoC) module with integrated Dual ARM* Cortex-A9 processor and up to 4 GBytes of SDRAM; the combination of a powerful processor, standard interfaces (PCIe x4, USB 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet) and flexible FPGA logic, all on one module with a compact form factor (56 x 54 mm), allows for the design of space-saving systems with unattained flexibility. As well as having long-term availability, the SA1 is also available in industrial temperature grade - starter kits are available for all variants, so you can dive right in.Enclustra also offers a comprehensive ecosystem for the SA1, offering all required hardware, software and support materials. The Mercury+ PE1 base board is a complete development platform for the SA1; detailed documentation and reference designs make it easy to get started, in addition to the user manual, free schematics, a 3D-model, PCB footprint and differential I/O length tables. To get Linux up and running in minutes, Enclustra offers the Enclustra Build Environment; Linux can be complied for the Mercury SA1 with a few clicks, generating the required U-Boot, Linux and BusyBox-based root file system binaries.Further expansion options are provided by the LPC/HPC FMC connectors on the PE1 base board, compatible with a huge range of add-on boards from many manufacturers - ADCs, DACs, motor control cards and RF links are just a small selection of possibilities.
