Find in

Selects the location for the search. The search location options vary depending on which application or editor you are using.

  • Block and Symbol Editors— You can search for the following options in the Block or Symbol Editor:
    • Node & bus names— Allows you to search for specific node and bus names.
    • Pin, symbol & block text— Allows you to search for text in pins, symbols, or blocks.
    • Assignments— Allows you to search for assignments.
    • Comments— Allows you to search for text in comment fields.
  • Chip Planner— You can search for the following options in the Chip Planner:
    • Atoms— Allows you to search for text in atoms.
    • Routing Elements— Allows you to search for text in routing elements.
    • Location Assignments— Allows you to search for text in location assignments.
    • Output Ports— Allows you to search for specific output ports.
    • Input Ports— Allows you to search for specific input ports.
  • State Machine Editor— You can search within the following options in the State Machine Editor:
    • State— Allows you to search for text in the state names.
    • Transition— Allow you to search for text in the transition names.
    • All— Allows you to search for text in both the state and transition names.
  • Signal Tap Logic Analyzer— Selects the location for the search. You can turn on any combination of node names or bus names to search for the specified text in these locations.
Note: The Find in option is unavailable in the Replace dialog box.
