Update Symbol or Block Dialog Box

You open this dialog box by right-clicking in a Block Design File (.bdf) Definition and then clicking Update Symbol or Block.

Allows you to update symbols or the parameters or I/Os in blocks after you change the Block Symbol File (.bsf) Definition. This command also allows you to update DOS symbols created in a Graphic Design File (.gdf) Definition.

Update

Allows you to update symbols or blocks in a Block Design File.

  • Selected symbol(s) or block(s)— Updates the selected symbol(s) or block(s).
  • All occurrences of selected symbol(s) or block(s)— Updates all instances of the selected symbol(s) or block(s).
  • All symbols or blocks in the file— Updates all the symbols or blocks in the current Graphic Design File or Block Design File.
