Address Map Tab (Platform Designer)
The Address Map tab allows you view and edit connections between memory hosts and agents in a Platform Designer system.
Navigation Panel
Shows all host interfaces available in the current system. The search bar allows you to search and filter host interfaces. You can select one or more host interfaces.
Address Configuration Panel
The information that appears in the Address Configuration panel depends on the selection in the Navigation panel.
If you select a single host interface, the Address Configuration panel displays a table where the rows correspond to memory-mapped agents than connect to the host. The columns are:
Column Name | Description |
---|---|
Slave | Name of the agent |
Base Address | Start address of space assigned in the host, in hex format |
End Address | End address of space assigned in the host, in hex format |
Size | Agent size, in bytes. |
Otherwise, the Address Configuration panel displays a matrix of host-agent connections, where the rows correspond to the agents and the columns to the hosts. If the host and agent are connected, the intersecting cell contains the address range that the host assigns to the agent. If there is no connection, the cell is blank.
Auto Assign Base Address Button
Directs Platform Designer to assign base addresses to the system so the addressed do not overlap.
