Port Properties Dialog Box

You open this dialog box by right-clicking a port in a Block Design File (.bdf) Definition and clicking Properties.

Allows you to specify properties for the ports.

General tab

Name— Allows you to specify the name of the port.
Alias— Allows you to specify the name of the alias for the port.
Hide alias when symbol is instantiated in design file— Allows you to hide or show the alias name for the port when you instantiate the port in a design file.
Type— Displays the type for the port. You can select input, output, or bidirectional.
Default status— Allows you to specify the default status of the port as used or unused.
