System Contents Tab (View Menu) (Platform Designer)

You open this tab by clicking View > System Contents.

The System Contents tab displays the components that you add to the system and allows you to specify connections and parameters at the interface level. You can select the columns you want to display by right-clicking any column header on the System Contents tab. The System Contents tab has the following columns:

  • Use—Allows you to enable or disable component instances in the system. Disabled components do not appear in the generated system.
  • Connections—The connectivity for each component instance.
  • Description—The description of the component or interface.
  • Clock—The clock source for each clock interface on a component instance.
  • Base—The base address for each memory-mapped slave port.
  • End—The end address for each memory-mapped slave port.
  • Name—The name for each component instance.
  • Export—Allows you to export an interface for use outside the system.

  • Tags—User-defined values for use with filters.
  • Security—Allows you to designate a master component as Secure, Non-secure, Secure ranges, or TrustZone-aware.
  • Default Slave—Allows Platform Designer to reroute transactions that violates security.
