ID:142008 Node <name> is a complex I/O

CAUSE: One or more complex I/Os were found in the exported design partition. If the complex I/Os will remain as I/Os in the top-level design into which the design partition will be imported, no action is required. However, if the complex I/Os represent ports to which other design partitions in the top-level project will connect, an error will occur when you run Partition Merge for the top-level design. Complex I/Os cannot be converted into wires between design partitions. Examples of complex I/Os include the following:
  • Register packed I/O
  • Tri-states
  • HSSI pin

ACTION: No action is required if the complex I/Os will remain as I/Os in the top-level design. Otherwise, you must make virtual pin assignments to the specified pins to avoid errors during Partition Merge of the top-level design. Virtual pin assignments can prevent the Fitter from turning a pin into a complex I/O.
