shared expanders and shareable expanders Definition

A feature in MAX3000 and MAX7000 devices that allows logic cells to use uncommitted product terms within the same Logic Array Block (LAB). A product term that is eligible to be shared in this manner is called a shareable expander; a product term that has been shared in this manner is called a shared expander.

The Intel® Quartus® Prime Compiler automatically allocates shareable expanders when a project is compiled. A shared expander can also be allocated with an EXP primitive.
