migration device Definition

An supported device (Arria^® series, Cyclone^® series, MAX series, and Stratix^® series) family device that has pins that are compatible with the pins in the current design's target device. Because of the pin compatibility, you can use device migration to transfer a design from the target device to the migration device while maintaining the same board layout and pin assignments.
