Current Strength logic option

A logic option that sets the drive strength of a pin. Specific numerical strength settings are appropriate only for pins with certain I/O standards. Specify a number (in mA), MIN, or MAX for output or bidirectional pins that support programmable drive strength. This option must be assigned to an output or bidirectional pin or it is ignored.

This option is available for all Intel devices supported by the Intel® Quartus® Prime software.

  • To set the drive strength of a pin using older device families, see the Slow Slew Rate logic option.
  • For more information on device-specific drive strengths and defaults, refer to the device family data sheet available from the Literature section of the Altera website.
