Export Design Partition Dialog Box

After running synthesis and creating a design partition, you can open this dialog box by clicking Project > Export Design Partition.

Exports a design partition from a Intel® Quartus® Prime project for subsequent reuse in the same or another project.

You can specify the following options for the partition you export:

Table 1. Export Design Partition Options
Option Description
Partition name Allows you to select an existing design partition by name. You must run synthesis and create one or more design partition before you can select a design partition for export.
Partition Database File Specifies the path and file name for the Partition Database File (.qdb) that preserves the partition.
Include entity-bound SDC files for the selected partition Specifies that the .qdb include any Synopsys Design Constraint (.sdc) files bound to an entity in the partition. The SDC File Entity Assignments field lists the entity and corresponding .sdc file. By default, all Intel® FPGA IP targeting Intel® Stratix® 10 devices use entity binding. However, Intel® FPGA IP targeting Intel® Arria® 10 and Intel® Cyclone® 10 GX devices do not use .sdc entity binding by default. To use this option for Intel® Arria® 10 and Intel® Cyclone® 10 GX devices, you must first bind the .sdc file to the entity in the .qsf
Snapshot Specifies which stage of compilation (snapshot) exports with the partition. The synthesized, placed, and final snapshots are available for export after you run those stages. When imported into another project, the Compiler only runs downstream processes when compiling this partition.
