Available Devices

Displays the devices matching your search criteria. If you select Specific device selected in 'Available devices' list under Target device, select the device in the Available devices list. If you select Auto device selected by the Fitter under Target device, the Fitter selects the most appropriate device for the design.

Under Show in 'Available devices' list, you can use filters to specify which devices in a family are listed in the Available devices list.

Parenthetical text following a device name in the Available devices list indicates that the device is not yet fully supported in the Intel® Quartus® Prime software. You may see the following text next to device names:

  • Not installed—Indicates that the device is supported in the Intel® Quartus® Prime software, but support for the device is not installed in your installation of the software. To use this device, you must first install support for it.
    Note: Contact Intel Applications, or go to the Device Support page, which is available from the Support section of the Altera website Definition, for more information on installing device support.
  • Advanced—Indicates that the device will be released in the near future, that the Intel® Quartus® Prime software provides compilation, simulation, and timing analysis support for the device, but the Compiler does not generate programming files Definition for the device.
  • Initial—Indicates that the device will be released in the near future, and that the Intel® Quartus® Prime software provides compilation, simulation, and timing analysis support for the device, but the Compiler does not generate programming files or pin-out information for the device.

You can export the list of devices in theAvailable devices listto a Comma-Separated Values (.csv) file by right-clicking inside theAvailable devices list, and then clickingExport CSV.
