Backpressure Definition
For Qsys Pro
Avalon® interfaces, backpressure is a mechanism by which
a receiving interface signals a sending interface to stop sending
data, typically when its FIFOs are full or when there is congestion
on the connected output port. For
                     Avalon® streaming interfaces, a
sink signals a source to stop sending data by de-asserting the
                  ready
                  signal. For
                     Avalon® memory-mapped interfaces, a slave signals a
                  master by asserting waitrequest.
