I/O Maximum Toggle Rate logic option

A logic option that allows you to specify the frequency at which a pin toggles. This option directs the Fitter to allow a single-ended pin to be placed closer to a differential pin.

This option is useful for analyzing signal integrity under worst-case conditions, that is, the highest possible toggle rate.

This option is ignored if it is applied to anything other than a pin.

This option is available for all Intel devices supported by the Quartus® Prime software except MAX3000 and MAX7000 devices.

Note:

To specify the expected time-averaged toggle rate rather than worst-case toggle rate, use the Power Toggle Rate logic option. The Power Toggle Rate logic option is used by the PowerPlay Power Analyzer to estimate time-averaged power consumption. To configure the data rates used for metastability reporting in the TimeQuest Timing Analyzer, use the Synchronizer Toggle Rate logic option.
