Device Family

Family—Allows you to specify the device family to target for compilation. A device family appears in this list only if you install support for at least one device in the family in your installation of the Quartus^® Prime software.

Note: Refer to the Support section of the Altera website, for more information on installing device support.

When you select a device family in the Family list, the Available devices list displays available devices for that family.

If you select a device family in the Family list with subfamily devices, then the Devices list displays available subfamilies for that device family. When you select a subfamily in the Devices list, the Available devices list displays available devices for that subfamily. The Devices list is available only when a device family with subfamilies is specified in the Family list.
