Quartus® Prime Standard Edition IP File (.qip) Definition

The Quartus® Prime Standard Edition IP File (.qip) is a single file that contains paths for all of the files for an IP core.

The Quartus® Prime Standard Edition IP File allows you to add an IP core to the project by adding only one file, the Quartus® Prime Standard Edition IP File, rather than adding all the necessary files individually. You can also remove an IP core from the project by removing just the Quartus IP File.

The Quartus® Prime Standard Edition IP File uses Tcl syntax and is similar to the Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Settings File (.qsf). A separate Quartus® Prime Standard Edition IP File exists for each individual IP core.
