A type of location assignment that allows you to assign a node or entity to all of the pins on the top, bottom, left, or right edge of the die. For supported device(Arria series, Cyclone series, MAX II, MAX V, and Stratix series) family devices, you can assign nodes and entities to an edge of the die using the Assignment Editor or Pin Planner.
