You can use the Programmer to make settings for hardware that you use in programming an Altera device. If you do not have the programming hardware connected to your computer, you can change hardware settings to use other compatible programming hardware by configuring it through one or more remote JTAG servers, in the Hardware Setup dialog box. You can control remote access to JTAG servers in the Configure Local JTAG Server dialog box. You can also add a remote JTAG server in the Add Server dialog box. Refer to the Altera Software Installation and Licensing manual for more information on setting up hardware during the Quartus® Prime installation, such as installing device drivers.
