Tasks Window (Chip Planner)

The Tasks window contains commands that generate reports. Reports display aspects of your design as they were placed and routed by the Fitter in the most recent compilation.

The Tasks pane includes the following commands:

• Toggle Background Colors—By default, objects that you select for display in the Layer Settings dialog box are shown with the color scheme on the Color Settings pane. When objects are displayed with the color scheme on the Color Settings pane, Toggle Background Colors switches the display of Layer Settings objects to gray. When objects are displayed with a gray color scheme, Toggle Background Colors switches the display of Layer Settings objects to the scheme on the Color Settings pane. Use the gray color scheme to make reports more visible; use the Color Settings scheme to make layer objects more visible.

• Report Resources—Opens the Report Resources dialog box that allows you to display the locations of rare resource types of the currently selected device and whether a particular resource is Used or Unused.

• Report Compilation Report Messages—Opens the Report Compilation Report Messages dialog box that allows you to display the locations of entities

• Mark Selection—Allows you to create a report of the blocks currently selected in the main Chip Planner view.
