CAUSE: You attempted to import the specified settings file, but the Quartus Prime software cannot import the file because it does not recognize the file extension. The Quartus Prime software can only import settings files with the file extensions .qsf, .csv, .txt, and .esf. If you created a Comma-Separated Value File (.csv), Text File (.txt), or created or were given an Entity Settings File (.esf) that contains project settings but has a file extension other than .qsf, .csv, .txt, or .esf, respectively, the Quartus Prime software cannot import the settings.
ACTION: Import a settings file that has a legal file extension, or, depending on the contents of the file, change the file extension as appropriate to .qsf, .csv, .txt, or .esf.
